2018 Summer Internship Program

This program is designed to expose students to a collaborative, professional office environment and a team of experienced design professionals. Selected individuals will participate in a 10-week internship in a Design Workshop office, beginning June 11. Students will be exposed to both the creative and business environment.

The application deadline for the 2018 summer internship program is January 12, 2018 at 11:59pm.

All summer internship finalists will be notified by February 23, 2018.

In an effort to continue to be sensitive to the environment and to limit the use of precious resources, Design Workshop requires qualified applicants to post a cover letter, resume and portfolio in one attachment (under 10 megs) through this online employment application.

Design Workshop is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Recent graduates as well as students pursuing degrees in landscape architecture, urban design or planning are encouraged to apply. Dual degrees in both landscape architecture and urban design or planning are strongly encouraged to apply.

Assignments will vary and may include project research, site visits, sketching, computer production, design reviews and assisting on marketing proposals. Students must possess exceptional graphic, AutoCAD, analysis and digital production skills. Proficiency in Adobe Suite, the ability to produce high-quality illustrations and computerized models in 3-D Max and/or SketchUp and impeccable writing skills are essential. Additional requirements include strong technical skills (grading, construction knowledge) as well as a positive attitude and open mind towards involvement on a wide range of project types. Candidates must be energetic, self-motivated, great communicators and possess strong leadership qualities.
