Design Workshop internships are designed to expose students to a collaborative, professional office environment and a team of experienced design professionals. Selected individuals will participate in a 12-week internship at Design Workshop from June through August 2019. Students will be exposed to both the creative and business environment.

The application deadline is January 27 at 11:59pm MST. In an effort to continue to be sensitive to the environment and to limit the use of precious resources, Design Workshop encourages qualified applicants to post a cover letter, resume and portfolio through this online application. Please do not include links to websites as portfolios. Include your cover letter, resume and portfolio in the one PDF under 10 megs.

Students must possess exceptional graphic, AutoCAD, analysis and digital production skills. Proficiency in Adobe Suite, the ability to produce high-quality illustrations and computerized models in 3-D Max and/or SketchUp and impeccable writing skills are essential. Additional requirements include strong technical skills (grading, construction knowledge) as well as a positive attitude and open mind towards involvement on a wide range of project types. Candidates must be energetic, self-motivated, great communicators and possess strong leadership qualities.

Recent graduates as well as students pursuing degrees in landscape architecture, urban design or planning are encouraged to apply. Dual degrees in both landscape architecture and urban design or planning are strongly encouraged to apply. US work authorization is required.

Assignments will vary and may include project research, site visits, sketching, computer production, design reviews and assisting on marketing proposals.
